Project 4

Harman Building Services were appointed principle contractors
for the refurbishment of the Grade II Listed Building,
which was virtually derelict, and after initial assessment
found the building to be in relatively good condition structurally,
with many of its original art deco features still intact behind
the false walls and above the suspended ceiling installed
in the earlier short lived conversion to the multi-screen.

When all this was removed, a very large space remained for
refurbishment including a major heating requirement.
Although old, the existing pipework for the wet heating
system was found to be completely sound and remarkably clean.
The boilers however had been subject to flooding
and were therefore no longer serviceable.
